Whether you believe it or not, your University experience will make up some of the best years of your life, it definitely won’t feel like it at times, but trust me… they are. We’ve put together 4 absolute must-dos that every Uni student needs to do at least once so they have no regrets as they walk off the graduation stage at the end of their three years.
1. Cook a flat/house Christmas dinner
It’s unlikely that you and your flatmates regularly cook and eat with one another, what with conflicting timetables and routines, so before you all return home for the Christmas break, be sure to spend your last evening together. Now cooking one meal for 4-6 people requires a lot of prep, planning and patience, as well as multiple utensils so having your Uni Kitchen Pack will save you a load of time and stress. You won’t regret spending a memorable evening with one another, bellies completely full and not a sober human in sight!
2. Pull an all-nighter
Now the sensible students among us will know better than to pull an all-nighter in the library, and truth be told it isn’t exactly a good part of Uni life but is one which I think everyone needs to experience at least once – so they know not to do it again. When beginning your all-nighter, it wise to consider the essentials; snacks, water, caffeine, regular breaks and a banging playlist to get you through. Don’t get me wrong, you will feel like death the following day, that’s when having our comfy bedding packs really comes in handy as your bed will never feel as good. Pulling an all-nighter is a rite of passage, and is a lesson you will learn to not leave deadlines too close.
3. Make The 9 am Lecture After A Night Out
It’s 3 am, you’ve been drinking for a good 7 hours (at least) and in 6 hours you have that 9 am lecture with the lecturer who will bore you to sleep at the best of times. Now, the natural response is to get home, fall into bed and not rise until 1 pm the next day – instead of asking your course mate to tap your uni card for the attendance register so no one is none the wiser, easy right? Attend the lecture at least once, you will feel like death, you will feel yourself falling asleep, but… at least you’re getting your monies worth and you can always play smart and record the lecture with your phone, not missing any key info.
4. Get s part-time job
Surprisingly, almost 2/3 of students don’t work part-time whilst studying for their degree, kudos to the 1/3 that do! Park-time jobs do not tend to be glamourous, well paid, and sometimes soul-destroying; but they are also very good character-building experiences, financial gain and handy for the CV. If part-time work is hard to come by, why not take the entrepreneurial leap by setting up a business or side hustle, you’ll just need an idea first. Unpacked was an idea founded whilst studying at uni, we found a problem and designed a solution and 7 years later we’re bigger and stronger than ever, providing Student Packs complete with all your student bedding and kitchen needs. Back yourself.
If you follow our advice and do the above, then we promise you’ll come out of uni with a big sense of achievement, you’ll of gained a plethora of skills, confidence, memories, friendships and more.
Good hunting out there.
