2. ORDERING FROM US

2.1 You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement by email, detailing the products you have ordered.

2.2 Our acceptance of an order takes place when we dispatch the order. We will send you a dispatch confirmation by email. When we dispatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.

3. PRICING

3.1 All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current rates.

3.2 A separate charge is made for carriage for orders for delivery to all other destinations and the appropriate rates can be obtained by contacting us and will be added to the order value.

3.3 Our prices are reviewed periodically.

4. CANCELLATION, RETURNS & FAULTY ITEMS

4.1 If you wish to cancel your order you may do so only before we have dispatched the goods to you by notifying us by email to info@unpacked.co.uk

4.2 If you wish to return goods you have received from us for any reason, you may do so subject to the following:

The returned goods must be received by us within 14 days of original receipt by you and,

The product and the product packaging must be in original condition (excluding the delivery packaging). Upon satisfactory receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid less any carriage charge. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you unless the items are faulty (see clause 4.3). We recommend providing adequate insurance / tracking facility for returning goods to us since we cannot be responsible for items that do not reach us safely.

The provisions of this clause 4.2 do not affect your statutory rights.

4.3 If you wish to return items that are faulty, please firstly contact us by email stating the order details and the fault. We will then contact you to arrange safe return of the item and at your request you will receive either a replacement or a full refund including any carriage charge paid.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

Unpacked is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if a customer bought a new toaster from us we would accept their old toaster and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
